Classic Series vs Cube Series: What's Best for Your Home?
Aug 20, 2025
Deciding on the perfect tap may seem simple, but when faced with several choices standing before you, it could get slightly confusing. Do you opt for the classic that will never fall out of favour, or take a chance with a statement piece of design that makes an impact?
At Leo Taps & Fittings, we've been assisting customers with this decision for more than 20 years. We've watched trends fade and others emerge, but what never changes is this: the best tap is the one that accommodates your lifestyle, your home, and your individual style. That's precisely why we designed two vastly distinct series – our Classic Series and Cube Series.
Let me take you through what sets each series apart so that you can decide which one is just right for your home.
The Classic Series: Your Trusted,
Timeless Friend
We weren't being fancy when we came up with the name "Classic" for this series. These taps really do capture all that you'd look for in a classic design – they're reliable, and they'll look as great in a decade as they do now.
What They're Made Of
We make our Classic Series taps with top-grade engineering polymers. Sounds a bit technical? In simple terms, these materials are very tough and won't fail you, no matter how much you use them daily. We've tested these extensively because we know you're relying on them to perform flawlessly, day in and day out.
The Look and Feel
We provide them in three colours: charcoal, ivory, and white. These are not arbitrary selections – we chose these because they look great in any environment, whether you prefer a warm, cozy atmosphere or a cool, modern aesthetic.
The Complete Range
The Classic Series is more than one or two items. We have everything from Pillar Taps to Garden Taps, Wall Mixers to Angle Valves. What this means is that you can maintain the same design aesthetic throughout your house, giving it a uniform look that holds everything together.
The Cube Series: For Those Who Love to Be Different
And now, while Classic Series is your dependable friend, Cube Series is your daring friend. These taps are for individuals who view their house as a reflection of their personality and have no hesitation in making unconventional decisions.
Designed with Innovation
The Cube Series is constructed using PTMT – and whilst that's a bit of a technical term, what you need to know is that the material provides us with the flexibility to design those clean, sharp lines that characterise this series. It's extremely durable and holds its shape perfectly well over the years, which is essential when working with geometric shapes.
Fast and Efficient Operation
Now things get interesting. The Cube Series features a quarter-turn spindle. Simply a swift 90-degree rotation, and it can go from totally off to full flow. Ideal for hectic mornings when you're getting ready in a hurry, or in commercial environments where you need efficiency.
Design That Makes a Statement
The colour schemes we've used are bright and contemporary, meant to give your bathroom or kitchen a fresh, up-to-date appearance. These are not simply functional items; they're design pieces that can take your space to the next level.
So, Which One Should You Choose?
You will be able to decide if you ask yourself a few questions:
- Are you a person who likes the familiar quality of old-style mechanisms, or do you enjoy the precision of newer developments?
- If you're remodelling an antique home or you just admire traditional design features, the Classic Series will be right in its element.
- If you're constructing a brand-new residence with modern architecture, or if you just love one-of-a-kind design features, the Cube Series may be the right one for you. The geometric shapes and quarter-turn system offer all things new about modern home design.
The Bottom Line
At the end of two decades in this business, we know a fact for sure - there's no one "best" choice, you choose the one that fits you best.
For both our Classic and Cube Series, we vouch for quality material, innovative design, and consistent performance. We have made a name for ourselves through delivering practical solutions, and both series do not disappoint.
